Do you have a business idea or are you already working on a startup project and want to apply for the NextGen special category of the Saxon Startup Award? Then take advantage of this opportunity to refine your application in just one day.

At the NextGen Startup Award Sprint, you’ll work alongside experienced founders, mentors, and other young teams from Saxony to develop the key components of your application. You’ll gain exclusive insights into the jury’s perspective, scrutinize your business model, refine your USP, and receive honest feedback on your idea.

The team with the most compelling pitch will be named “Pitch of the Day” and receive a wildcard for an exclusive pitch to investors at a futureSAX event. This gives you the chance to present your idea to potential investors and key players in Saxony’s innovation ecosystem.

Instead of long presentations, you’ll experience short sessions, intensive work periods, and one-on-one coaching at various themed tables. You decide for yourself which topics you want to work on and get support exactly where your project needs it most.

Your outcome at the end of the day

  • Concrete feedback on your business idea and business model
  • Greater clarity regarding your target audience, market, and competition
  • Refined application materials for the Saxon Startup Award
  • New connections with mentors and other founders
  • A more compelling pitch and concrete next steps for your project
  • The chance to win a wildcard for a pitch to investors

The NextGen Startup Award Sprint is an intensive program for young people who want more than just a good idea. Here, you’ll receive honest feedback, valuable contacts, and the opportunity to take your Startup Award application to the next level.

The combination of psychological, sociological and analytical principles with research and practice has inspired the qualified educationalist and media psychologist since the beginning of her studies at Chemnitz University of Technology. As a working student at Onkel Sax, Miriam was already intensively involved with the ‘NextGen’. The desire to not only understand and explain media use, but also to be able to derive target group-specific media offers from it, subsequently led her to a marketing agency in Dresden. As a marketing and project manager, she was involved in the planning, implementation and management of campaigns and cross-media marketing projects as well as the development of didactic and educational concepts for knowledge transfer.
