Validation of research results

Validate - Transfer - Innovate

Validation funding from the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Transport aims to evaluate the exploitation potential of innovative scientific research and to promote the transfer of research in a targeted manner.

The validation funding is intended to accelerate the introduction and dissemination of modern technologies in the economy and society in order to maintain the competitiveness of the Saxon economy and further expand it. Research results and inventions from science are to be qualified for commercial use. futureSAX supports the funded scientists through a structured process in the individual project module and the orientation projects in order to increase the probability of successful exploitation of the research results to be validated .

Support for validation funding by futureSAX

Support of the validation funding by futureSAX

As part of the SMWA guideline - funding for the validation of research results, futureSAX offers funding recipients free monitoring and support. Support is provided throughout the entire period of project funding. A total of three mandatory and two optional support meetings are planned.

Kick-off meeting (obligatory individual meeting)

  • The kick-off meeting takes place in the form of an individual meeting, no later than two months after the start of funding. A support plan for the first project phase up to the mid-term review is drawn up together with futureSAX.

Mid-term review (obligatory group format)

  • The mid-term review takes place after approximately nine months and aims to evaluate the implementation of the support plan drawn up and to define milestones for the subsequent second support phase up to the final review with futureSAX.

Final Review (obligatory group format)

  • The final review is a joint closing event for the grant recipients to present the results of the exploitation strategy and its planned implementation and to discuss challenges together.

Jannis Bulla

Project Manager

Research Valorization & Validation

Solving everyday problems with extraordinary ideas - this idea sparked Jannis' interest in research at an early age.

The natural sciences in particular eventually led the native of Lower Saxony to Zittau in Saxony's border triangle. Here he first studied at the HSZG and then at the IHI in the field of biotechnology.

After completing his studies, he worked for several years as a research assistant at the Chair of Food Technology at TU Dresden. There he focussed primarily on bacterial biomacromolecules. He then moved from academia to futureSAX GmbH to support research projects from the Saxon science landscape on their transfer paths in the innovation ecosystem.
