Where Innovation Sets the Standard: NextGenSupport Network Meeting 2026

05.11.2026 | 13:30 - 15:30 | Region Chemnitz

Let’s work together to bring future-ready skills into schools: At the NextGenSupport network meeting, teachers and partner organizations from the fields of innovation, STEM, startup culture, and entrepreneurship come together to share experiences, make new connections, and develop concrete ideas for use in schools.

How can we help young people develop the skills they need in an increasingly dynamic world?

Creativity, problem-solving skills, initiative, technical understanding, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking are among the key skills for the future today. Schools play a central role in this. At the same time, there are numerous initiatives, companies, networks, and educational programs in Saxony that can make a valuable contribution through their experience and ideas.

At the NextGenSupport network meeting, we bring teachers and partner organizations together to connect these very resources.

Together, we want to explore

  • how topics such as innovation, startup culture, STEM, and entrepreneurship can be brought to life in everyday school life,
  • what challenges and needs schools currently face,
  • what resources are already available,
  • and how these can lead to new collaborations, lesson ideas, or project formats.

What to Expect

✔️ Exchange between schools and the professional world
Get to know the perspectives, challenges, and opportunities from the other side.

✔️ Inspiration and ideas for educational work
Discuss how future-oriented skills can be fostered through STEM, innovation, and entrepreneurship topics.

✔️ Joint development of concrete approaches
Develop initial ideas for lesson modules, project days, project weeks, or other formats that can be implemented in schools.

✔️ Networking with added value
Make new connections and identify specific opportunities for future collaboration.

Who is this meeting intended for?

✅ Teachers from all types of schools serving students in 8th grade and above who are looking for inspiration on teaching future-oriented skills, innovation, STEM, startup culture, and entrepreneurship.

✅ Partner organizations from the NextGenSupport network that want to contribute their experiences, programs, and ideas to school practice and develop them further together.

What teachers will take away

  • Inspiration for modern, up-to-date instruction that fosters future-ready skills
  • Insights into proven programs in the areas of innovation, STEM, startup initiatives, and entrepreneurship
  • Direct contacts with partner organizations that can support schools
  • Concrete ideas for lesson modules, project days, and other school-based formats
  • Opportunities to exchange ideas with colleagues who are interested in similar topics

Our Goal

Together, we want to build bridges between schools and the real world and find ways to better equip young people with future-ready skills, innovative thinking, and an entrepreneurial mindset

Idea Phase & NextGen

The combination of psychological, sociological and analytical principles with research and practice has inspired the qualified educationalist and media psychologist since the beginning of her studies at Chemnitz University of Technology. As a working student at Onkel Sax, Miriam was already intensively involved with the ‘NextGen’. The desire to not only understand and explain media use, but also to be able to derive target group-specific media offers from it, subsequently led her to a marketing agency in Dresden. As a marketing and project manager, she was involved in the planning, implementation and management of campaigns and cross-media marketing projects as well as the development of didactic and educational concepts for knowledge transfer.
