The focus is on two program highlights that address different target groups - and yet pursue the same goal: strengthening entrepreneurial thinking, imparting start-up knowledge and facilitating networking.
Why futureSAX is present at KarriereStart
For many, KarriereStart is the first point of contact with the topics of career, education and self-employment. futureSAX deliberately uses this stage to create a low-threshold introduction to the world of start-ups: Asking questions, getting to know people, finding support, planning next steps. This is precisely the core of our approach: exchange, knowledge transfer and networking in the Saxon innovation network.
Whether you are already a founder, looking for a team, want to hone your idea or simply want to know which paths are possible in Saxony: At KarriereStart, we will show you how start-ups actually work and who can support you.
Highlight 1: futureSAX start-up brunch - the start of the start-up year
The Saxon start-up scene traditionally kicks off the new year with the futureSAX start-up brunch. Founders and all those who want to become founders are invited. Over two hours of input on the topic of founding is followed by a relaxed exchange with experts from the Saxon start-up partner network and young companies.
When: Saturday, 24.01.2026 | 10:15-13:00
Where: Messe Dresden (Hall 3, Open Podium 3.1)
Admission to the trade fair is free of charge for registered participants
What's in the program:
- 10:25 a.m. Keynote: Danny Arnold (BRICK4U) - "Why founding is an adventure you shouldn't have missed."
- 11:05 a.m. Panel: "Forms of financing and funding for your start-up" - Insights into financing options with IHK Dresden, Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen and futureSAX.
- 11:30 a.m. Start-up talk: First-hand start-up experiences with Regina Hessenmüller-Lampke (CMMC GmbH) and Martina Großer (in start-up) moderated by Sophia Sowa (Qlug, Young Founders Network).
- 12:00 Start-ups on Stage: Tim Mockert (FASTRACK) and Jonas Goedel (Dämmhelden (formerly Warm up)) will share practical lessons learned.
Why it's worth it: The start-up brunch combines know-how, inspiration and direct networking and thus precisely the three factors that often make the difference in the early phase.

Highlight 2: Practical workshop with Lucas Haas - learning to present, getting feedback
Founding often begins with a moment in which you have to explain your idea: in class, in a job interview, at a pitch or at your first customer meeting. This is exactly where the practical workshop "How do I learn to present myself and my idea?" comes in - with concrete exercises, methods and direct feedback.
When: Friday, 23.01.2026 | 10:30-12:30
Where: Messe Dresden, Room 3.3 "St. Petersburg"
By registering for the workshop, you will receive free access to KarriereStart 2026 on Friday, January 23, 2026.
In the workshop, Lucas Haas will make you fit for school, everyday university life or the presentation of your business idea - with the aim of appearing more confident and getting your message across clearly. Lucas Haas is a young founder and co-initiator as well as Head of Alumni of the Young Founders Network.
What you will take away
- Techniques and tips for pitches and self-presentation
- Tricks for improvisation
- Direct feedback and exchange with other young people interested in founding a company
The workshop is aimed at young people aged between 14 and 21 who want to learn about entrepreneurship and presentation skills at an early stage.
