Saxon Investors Roadshow as a guest in Zurich

With its 28th edition on April 24, 2025, the tried-and-tested format crossed national borders for the first time. The premiere took place in Zurich, a European hotspot for tech and life science innovations, whose vibrant start-up scene has many parallels to the Saxon innovation landscape. Over 40 participants from the DACH region accepted the invitation to the premises of cooperation partner Bluelion, a hip Zurich accelerator. This is where ambitious founders network, collaborate and drive their growth.

An exceptional keynote speech and themed pitch sessions

The event was opened by Jessica Lietze, Senior Project Manager Capital Transfer & Investor Network at futureSAX. Ion Hauer, Principal at APEX Ventures from Vienna, kicked off the content. In his keynote speech, he provided exciting insights into current investment trends and market opportunities in the field of advanced computing & electronics. With a clear view of upcoming developments and practical examples from his own portfolio, Hauer showed how data-driven growth and technological disruptions create long-term investment opportunities.

Three pitch sessions - concentrated innovative power at a glance

From a total of 24 applications, 10 promising Saxon start-up and growth concepts were selected, which were prepared for their investor readiness in advance by the futureSAX pitch workshop. The field of participants was supplemented by 5 innovative start-ups from Switzerland, which were brought in by Bluelion and provided additional thematic diversity. The companies presented their business ideas in the tried-and-tested 3-minute pitch format, followed by lively Q&A sessions. In the subsequent networking breaks and one-on-one meetings, investors and founding teams took the opportunity to deepen discussions and explore potential partnerships.
