The jury of the Saxon Founder Award 2026
In 2026, innovative start-up ideas and concepts will once again be honored with the Saxon Founder Award. The winners will be determined in two rounds of judging: In the first round of judging in March, a panel of experts consisting of experienced judges from various fields and sectors will evaluate the start-up concepts submitted.
In the subsequent second evaluation round, the applicants present themselves to the panel of experts. The winners of the 26th Saxon Start-up Award will then be finally determined.

DescriptionMaria Grimpe findet für (fast) alle Unternehmen das richtige Förderprogramm. Seit vielen Jahren ist sie im Bereich der Unternehmensförderung tätig. Hauptschwerpunkt ist dabei die Sicherung und Entwicklung von Unternehmen und Start-ups. Neben der Fördermittelberatung für etablierte Unternehmen, Existenzgründer und innovative Start-ups standen Stellungnahmen für Investitionsvorhaben aber auch beispielsweise zum Technologiegründerstipendium im Fokus ihrer Tätigkeit.

DescriptionMarkus H. Michalow ist gelernter Bankkaufmann und Bankfachwirt. Er verfügt über mehrjährige Erfahrungen in der Finanzbranche durch Tätigkeiten bei der Deutschen Bank und der Dresdner Bank sowie als Abteilungsleiter Externes Rechnungswesen bei einer Vorgängergesellschaft der DREWAG. Seit 2010 ist er Geschäftsführer der Bürgschaftsbank Sachsen und der Mittelständischen Beteiligungsgesellschaft.
