ESG - Oaahnee! From pain point to corporate game changer

The ESG criteria and the associated documentation obligation generate a lot of administrative work, gray hair and head shaking for credit institutions and affected companies alike.

In the panel, we discuss how this reporting obligation can be filled with life . There is plenty of scope to make it a benefit for the entire credit institution and its employees.

Higher documentation requirements also allow new business models to emerge and open up new opportunities for start-ups to innovate and for investment companies to invest.

No gray theory, but proven practical examples will show you how the "ballast ESG" can lead to a significant contribution to a conscious change in corporate design.

After the panel, as always, we will invite you to an in-depth exchange and expansion of your network with representatives of other credit institutions and investment companies.

The Network Meeting of Saxon Investor Institutions (SKN) is integrated into the Saxon Business Angel Day as a side event. You therefore have the opportunity to take part in the offers of this day before and after the side event and to talk to capital-seeking start-ups and the business angel community.

Participation in this event is invite-only.

About the network

The SKN network consists of representatives from Saxon banks, savings banks and investment companies. They meet three times a year to exchange ideas at an operational level, to network and to discuss possible collaborations.

The aim is to encourage future joint financing and co-investments in young and established Saxon companies.

To profile

Variety - is the name on the former banker's CV. After additional training in the creative arts in South Africa, Marco Schnell started his own business as a creative trainer in Mecklenburg. He later gained further experience abroad during two years of intercultural studies in Argentina and Chile. His interest in foreign cultures and languages, as well as in connecting people, then led him back to Germany, where he worked as a project manager supporting an association in bringing refugee families together on a European level.

For private reasons, he then moved to Leipzig. Here he came into contact with the Saxon start-up world. With his communication skills, the bridge builder was alternately responsible for communication, sales, HR and business development in three start-ups before taking up his last position as Head of Marketing.

He alternates between the bouldering wall, the swimming pool, the bicycle and for finger sports: his piano.
