The validation funding of the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, Energy and Climate Protection aims to evaluate the exploitation potential of innovative, scientific research and to promote the transfer of research in a targeted manner. This event is aimed at validation teams with a project start date of November 1, 2024.

The aim of validation funding is to accelerate the introduction and dissemination of modern technologies in industry and society in order to maintain and further expand the competitiveness of Saxony's economy. Research results and inventions from science are to be qualified for commercial use. futureSAX supports the funded scientists through a structured process in the individual project module and the orientation projects in order to increase the probability of successful exploitation of the research results to be validated.

Solving everyday problems with extraordinary ideas - this idea sparked Jannis' interest in research at an early age.

The natural sciences in particular eventually led the native of Lower Saxony to Zittau in Saxony's border triangle. Here he first studied at the HSZG and then at the IHI in the field of biotechnology.

After completing his studies, he worked for several years as a research assistant at the Chair of Food Technology at TU Dresden. There he focussed primarily on bacterial biomacromolecules. He then moved from academia to futureSAX GmbH to support research projects from the Saxon science landscape on their transfer paths in the innovation ecosystem.
