Nearly 60 participants accepted the invitation to the futureSAX Start-up Forum III in Leipzig to learn everything about communicating innovative business ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. Among them were the nominees for the Saxon State Awards for Founding and Innovation as well as many other (prospective) founders. This diverse mix of participants not only resulted in an inspiring exchange of experiences among the participants, they also benefited from the different treasures of experience in pitching.
This year's futureSAX Start-up Forum III was hosted by SpinLab, together with the neighboring seecon Ingenieure GmbH, in whose premises pitch training for the nominees in preparation for the jury meeting of the second round of judging took place. After the welcome by Marina Heimann, managing director of futureSAX GmbH, and Dr. Eric Weber, managing director of SpinLab, as well as Florian Finkenstein, authorized signatory at seecon, the participants received interesting impulses in strategic communication of start-ups in the morning by Dr. Markus Wiesenberg from the Institute for Communication and Media Science at the University of Leipzig. He was followed by the professional communication trainer Andre Ottlik with his interactive lecture on "Basics of effective communication". He thus provided the interested guests with the necessary tools before they were asked to give their own presentations in the afternoon.
Before that, however, the joint lunch break was used intensively for networking. Afterwards, in a "Quick Check of the Pitch Story", the founders learned how they personally score points with investors, competition jurors and founding partners thanks to the competent assessment of our experts Martin Richter, coach and consultant at SpinLab, Christian Hauke, founding consultant at SMILE, Frederik Lindner, deal flow manager at Seedmatch GmbH as well as Robin Nitsch, investment manager at Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen and Alexander Kühne, project manager investors of futureSAX. Due to the valuable insights and the broad spectrum of the speakers, the participants received differentiated feedback and a variety of helpful tips and tricks.
At the same time, the nominees for the Saxon Innovation Award, together with coach Andre Ottlik and futureSAX managing director Marina Heimann, were honing their presentations in preparation for the upcoming second round of judging. In a third session, the Saxon Start-up Award nominees optimized their pitches together with futureSAX project manager Alexander Seedorff and Anja Giese, responsible for public relations and marketing at futureSAX GmbH.
It was an exciting day of great insights for all participants, which will certainly pay off. Many thanks to all participants and speakers!
