The Dresden-based semiconductor company FMC has closed one of the largest financing rounds in the European chip sector: € 77 million in equity (from HV Capital, DTCF, Bosch Ventures, among others) and € 23 million in public funding are flowing into the commercialization of DRAM+ and 3D CACHE+ memory technologies.
With over 100% more energy efficiency and processing speed compared to established solutions, FMC addresses key bottlenecks in the AI stack - especially for data centers and edge applications. The technology is based on hafnium oxide and promises significantly lower power consumption.

SaxonQ GmbH from Leipzig
The TGFS is investing a seven-figure sum in SaxonQ, a Leipzig-based start-up for room-temperature-powered diamond-based quantum computers.
The technology enables robust use outside of laboratories - for example in AI, logistics or medicine - and is already being used at Fraunhofer IWU, among others.
The investment will be used to miniaturize the systems and expand production. SaxonQ is also preparing a larger financing round for further scaling.

The Leipzig-based chemical start-up aevoloop has received 3.25 million euros in seed capital and almost 5 million euros in funding from the EU and the Free State of Saxony.
Using a patented technology, aevoloop develops fully recyclable and biodegradable plastics that can be broken down into their basic components.
The lead investor is Circulate Capital, with Positron Ventures, bmp Ventures (IBG) and partners such as SPRIND and the CTC also involved. The capital will be used for product development, team expansion and pilot projects with the industry.

The Saxon IIoT start-up in.hub has received seven-figure follow-up financing. In addition to TGFS, SBG is also investing for the first time via the RIG program.
The capital will be used to expand the in.hub Academy, modular service offerings and a marketplace for digital industrial applications.
With its siineos® platform, in.hub offers plug & play solutions for industrial digitalization without cloud constraints, which can be installed locally in the factory and are ready for immediate use.

The start-up has received seed funding of 280,000 euros from Sächsische Beteiligungsgesellschaft (SBG) as part of the TUClab start-up competition 2024.
Under the motto "Rehearsals without noise", the Chemnitz-based start-up offers innovative studio-quality rehearsal rooms that achieve a noise level of just 65 dB thanks to headphone monitoring, digital control and special acoustics - ideal for inner-city locations.
Access, settings and recordings are made via a dedicated app in a pay-as-you-go model. Following the first location in Chemnitz, the team is now planning to expand to Dresden and Leipzig.

Optimeleon GmbH from Radebeul
The Radebeul-based startup Optimeleon has closed a pre-seed round of 1.5 million euros. The financing was led by Adesso Ventures and Caesar Ventures, with business angels such as Felix Jahn, Valentin Dushe and Artjem Weissbeck also participating.
Optimeleon replaces traditional A/B tests with an AI platform that analyzes web content in real time and automatically adapts it to specific target groups. Initial pilot customers such as Enpal and Dentolo report conversion increases of up to 20 percent.
The team, which was founded in 2025, plans to use the capital to further develop the technology and accelerate its market entry in the DACH region.

The Leipzig-based cleantech start-up enaDyne has closed a seed financing round of 7 million euros. The round was led by Amadeus APEX Technology Fund and Energy Capital Ventures, accompanied by Antares Ventures, Possible Ventures and the business angels Wolfram Drescher, Andreas Werner and Sven Sieber.
enaDyne uses a non-thermal plasma technology to convert industrial CO₂ emissions into methanol, ethylene and other chemicals - with conversion rates of over 70% and simultaneous degradation of PFAS ("perpetual chemicals").
The capital will be used to build the first pilot plant by mid-2026 - a key step on the way to a climate-friendly chemical industry.

The startup Onsai has raised over 1 million euros in growth capital to further expand its autonomous AI agents for the hotel industry. The financing is led by SIVentures (Leipzig) - accompanied by renowned business angels from the hospitality and tech industry, including Willem van der Zee (Pandox) and Wolfgang M. Neumann (former CEO Radisson).
Founded by former hoteliers, Onsai GmbH develops digital employees who answer calls, book reservations and carry out everyday tasks independently - around the clock, in multiple languages and without interruption.
Onsai intends to use the capital to expand its product portfolio, grow the team, integrate new hotel systems and expand internationally. In times of massive staff shortages in the industry, the solution offers an increasingly strategically relevant relief for hotels worldwide.

Deutsche Werkstätten Beteiligungs GmbH from Dresden
Managing partner Fritz Straub is transferring the majority of shares in Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau to the French company Ateliers De France. The traditional company from Dresden, which today specializes in the interior design of luxury yachts and private residences, wants to secure its future in this way.
The new owners bring with them expertise in the restoration of historical monuments such as Versailles. The previous owner will retain 25 percent of the shares, remain managing director until the end of the year and plans to contribute the proceeds from the sale to a foundation for the promotion of democracy in Saxony.

The investment had been in place since 2018 and accompanied the carve-out of the German business from Novisol AG. During this time, TLC grew from 150 to around 450 employees, increased its turnover from 8 to 80 million euros and expanded internationally.

CYNiO is developing a patented, CO₂-based technology for the safe and flexible production of isocyanates - without highly toxic phosgene. The innovation enables new applications in the pharmaceutical, agricultural and construction industries.
Sales and marketing will be managed from the Leipzig region, while the production site will be located in Bitterfeld-Wolfen. The aim is to supply the European market with specialty chemicals that were previously difficult to obtain.

FlyNex has successfully completed a new financing round. In addition to TGFS, Sächsische Beteiligungsgesellschaft (SBG) has now also invested in the Leipzig-based company for the first time via the Innovationskapital Sachsen (RIG) program.
