Saxon start-up partner network: 8th meeting
For the eighth time, the predominantly public supporters of the Saxon start-up scene met on October 8, 2019, this time at the Technology and Start-up Center Freital. There, Alexander Karrei, managing director of the TGF, welcomed the guests and introduced them to the F1 Freital Technology Center, which was opened in 2013.
The participants received impulses for the content from Franziska Böhler, host of the Freiberg Innovation Incubator from the SAXEED start-up network, and Daniel Förster, managing director of VIN Vogtland Innovations Hub GmbH. Using best-practice examples from Freiberg and Plauen, they both illustrated successful perspectives for coworking spaces as crystallization points for regional start-up ecosystems outside the big cities. It became clear that the key to success lies in embedding the spaces in the local start-up support network. This creates a contact point for founders and young companies whose added value goes far beyond the mere provision of office space.
The start-up partners then had their say. In their usual manner, they reported on the start-up support activities planned for the near future in all regions of Saxony. The declared goal of the futureSAX Start-up Partner Network is to interlink these activities and thus tap further potential, for example through joint communication.
In addition, Marina Heimann, managing director of futureSAX GmbH, gave an update on the current events and plans of the innovation platform of the Free State of Saxony. In October, two high-quality events for young and established companies from the Free State of Bavaria will take place in Freiberg on October 29, 2019: the futureSAX Founders' Brunch "Getting Started Together with Medium-Sized Businesses" on October 23, 2019 in Mittweida and the futureSAX Innovation Forum "Environmental and Resource Technology - Ensuring Competitiveness and Opening up New Business Fields with Sustainability and Efficiency" on October 29, 2019. Interested parties should seize the opportunity and register promptly.
In the get-together, the more than 20 participants used the opportunity to intensively exchange ideas with colleagues from the other corners of Saxony. Maybe you will even hear or read about one or the other cooperation that has been created in the process.
