Innovation Meetup: Biomedical Sensors & Smart Materials
26.02.2026 | 13:00 - 17:00 Uhr | Region Dresden
HTW Dresden | Andreas-Schubert-Straße 6 | 01069 Dresden
BiotroNiS, Saxony5, the Smart Production and Materials Performance Center, and WIR! Sind DIANA are jointly hosting an event at HTW Dresden. This Innovation Meetup is an interdisciplinary meeting place for researchers, innovators, and industry players to advance sustainable diagnostic and sensor technologies for medicine.
Look forward to eight concise presentations that show how intelligent materials and smart processes are creating the medical solutions of tomorrow. After refreshments of coffee and cake, we will move on to direct 1:1 exchanges. In pre-arranged time slots (15 min), you will have the opportunity to get to know potential cooperation partners and explore synergies. You will be able to book your individual networking slot after the registration to the event.
Featuring guests:
- Dr. Alejandra Castro Chong (TUD/FEP): Next-generation process engineering for autonomous roll-to-roll printing of 4D stimuli-responsive microstructures.
- Dr. Christian Redlich (Fraunhofer IFAM): Degradable metals for the life sciences.
- Dr. Hans Kleemann (TUD/IAPP): Real-time in vivo monitoring of anastomotic intestinal ischemia using implantable resorbable organic sensors.
- Prof. Larysa Baraban (HZDR): Biosensors for cancer diagnostics and therapy.
- Lukas Boxberger (Fraunhofer IWU): Wire encapsulation through additive manufacturing for the integration of lightweight functions in wearables and innovative medical applications and beyond.
- Dr. Mario Baum (Fraunhofer ENAS): Wearable sensor systems for One Health applications.
- Dr. Philipp Steinert (TUC): Design of capillary force-controlled PoC diagnostic systems for antibody-based analysis of inflammatory biomarkers using multiscale simulation methods.
- Philipp Thiem (WHZ): IKMSens – Intelligent sensor technology for incontinence materials.
